Cable One is the worst of the worst. I apologize for not posting as much lately, but it is not my fault (honestly). We, and by “we” I mean my wife, set up to have Cable One shut off cable at our old place and install cable at our new house. We (she) did this a full week ahead of schedule to make sure that it was taken care of. On the appropriate day, however, the cable was not installed. We (she) called to check on this problem, and we were told that it would take a full week before we could get our cable because they were busy.
Apparently, they were too bust to do their job in the first place. We were told this would be taken care of. We (she) made sure that we were ahead of the game. So, there was no arguing with them and we waited our full week. Keep in mind that my wife and I both have online classes and the semester was coming to a close. We had papers due, and I had quizzes and tests to submit. We found a way to get it all taken care of during that week.
Then comes the day the cable is due to be installed once again. They call my wife, and she doesn’t answer the phone but calls them quickly back. The man from Cable One assures us that he will be here to set it up. At 6 o’clock I call and am reaffirmed that it will indeed be hooked up. At 8:45 I call once again and I am told that we will not be able to get our cable for another 9 days. Are you kidding me?
I call the next day with names and numbers and times. I mean, I am furious at this point. When I call to try to straighten out what I can’t imagine could be seen as anything but a glaring omission on their part, the lady on the other end of the line immediately states that they tried to call and we did not answer the phone. I poured out my anger, I channeled my inner Jules from Pulp Fiction. After a few simple sentences, spoken in a manner that made it clear where I stood, we ended up (finally) getting our cable installed that day.
So, that is why my posts have been suffering. However, I am back in business now.
