Ahnzil the Punishment

02 Jan

Ahnzil is modeled after the dinosaur called Ankylosaurus. He is a large Reptis who is called upon to find and kill the traitor, General Squan. Ahnzil earned the name “the Punishment” from his cruel dealings with any that fall away from the graces of Lord Gish. I picture Ahnzil as a cleric-type character, heavily armored and wielding a large mace. I will provide a sketch (you knew I couldn’t resist) as soon as possible.

Until then, feast your eyes on the beginnings of what I hope to become a nice villain for the lands of Dessilus.

Woohoo! Is a Reptis a type of Therian? I can’t wait for the sketch. 🙂

The Reptis are a reptilian race that dominate the area around Dessilus. They are not therian. They are warmongers and kill the nomadic Sects (an insect race) for sport.

Do they walk on two legs?

        Yes, they walk upright.

I’ve jumped into the middle of this, so I have to ask what your over-all project is. Novel? Game setting? Something else?

I am glad you jumped in at all. Basically, this is a world. I have novels (one written, and more in the works), short stories, and sketches. The land is called Delphia. For a real basic overview, you can check out the Lexicon header at the top of my page. This should give you an idea of what to expect.
Let me know what you think as you read further. Thanks again

So did you write a novel, and then continue developing the background with a sequel in mind, or develop the background and look for stories to set in it? It’s an interesting approach, either way.

I created the world, with the characters and plot in mind.
