About the Author

L. Weatherly

For many years my head has been filling with this magical realm I have named Delphia. The characters were locked away in the dungeons of my mind, until my wife chose to free them. Trinh has been the greatest inspiration for me in this endeavor, and I couldn’t have done any of this without her. I hope that my son, Ari, grows to know and love these characters and the world that I have created. Ultimately, the stories are for them. However, we have made the choice to allow all of you a glimpse into Delphia. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed making it.

I am in the process of trying to get my first book published. (Fingers Crossed)

The Council of Therian – Book one in the planned quintet dealing with the War of Hoarded Magic. This book follows Penn, a gnome, as he is swept into the start of the war.

In the Works:

The Throne of Oliveloft – Book two of the War of Hoarded Magic series. Penn goes to Oliveloft to help the gnomes prepare for war, but things quickly spiral out of control. The gnomes stumble upon a forgotten race, and must attempt to forge a alliance.

Dragon Hunters – Book three in the War of Hoarded Magic books. Penn joins a savage group of dragon hunters in a desperate plan to save Delphia. As the war continues, more and more races are choosing alliances.

Ties That Bind – A shorter story that I am writing for Legends Undying. The story follows Bynn Al Tor, a highborn elf from the island of Carinth. This book is still set in Delphia, but I isolated the characters so they would have no direct contact with any of my other characters from previous stories. Bynn battles to keep an evil violet dragon from taking complete control of the island. However, he is grossly over matched and must use every resource available to survive the dragon’s wrath.

Demon Wrought – The Knights of the Coast have fallen into a self-induced chaos. Larkin Dane leads a force against the Knights. With the help of his demon-spawn companion and a genius mind for tactics, Larkin keeps the wave of knights from washing over Delphia.

I do wish you good luck on publishing. This sounds like a very involved world. I love fantasy, and you have the makings of a great author for it.

I liked your award-winning story, the Runt of the Litter, very much — people are always underestimating women. She’s a woman I wouldn’t want to run into in a dark alley…

My aim is to submit to several publishers and self-publish if all else fails. I feel good about my world and the story, that is what counts. Thanks for checking out the site, any feedback is welcomed.
