Fantasy Creatures of Delphia

There are many creatures that inhabit the lands of Delphia. Some you may be familiar with, such as lions and tigers and bears (oh my) Some are kindly and good, while others are wholly evil.

Races created by the Ogres

Centaur – human and horse

Minotaur – human and bull

Harpy – human and eagle

Owlbear – bear and owl (duh)

Pegasus – horse and swan

Griffin – lion and eagle

Chimera – lion, snake, and goat

ManBearPig – man, bear, and pig (had to do it)

Races Created by Indigo Dragons

Naga – snake

Manticore – lion

Ki-Rin – horse

Cockatrice – rooster

Hapis – bull

Barghest – dog

There are many other singular characters that have draconic lineage.

Races Created by the Elementals

Groundlings – Earth

Treant – Earth

Phoenix – Fire

Djinn – Air

Triton – Water

*edit* When the ancient mages first attempted to create the elementals, they had several failures; these creations never fully took shape and became known as “oozes”.

Vapor Jelly – air (a jellyfish type creature that floats in the air with stinging tendrils hanging down)

Magma Slug – fire (a lava type sludge)

Terra Slime – earth (an octopus type creature that uses oozing tentacles to snatch prey)

Pods – water (large violet colored jellies that can break down tissue in a matter of seconds)

Blood Sacs – a parasitic ooze, a certain orc tribe intentionally attaches these to their necks believing that they gain extra powers, but it is not true.

Races Created by Rainor

Machinations – iron

If there are any races that you have questions about, or perhaps that you feel I have forgotten and simply must have in Delphia, then let me know and I will edit my list. Thank you for your input.
